March 11, 1926 - September 1, 2020
Norman (Scotty) Alfred Carlson, 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his family farm Sept. 1, 2020. He was born on March 11, 1926, in Bend, OR, to Fred and Mary Carlson.
In 1944, four days after graduating from Woodland High School, he was on a train to Texas for basic training, enlisting in the United States Army. He won numerous awards during World War II, which included the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and the Bronze Star. When he returned to the States, he was stationed at Fort Lewis as a corporal, until his honorable discharge Aug. 15, 1946.
After returning from the service, he met the love of his life, Joyce Risley and started his career at Longview Fibre in 1951. Norm and Joyce married on Nov. 19, 1955 and moved to Lexington, WA where they had their son Scott in 1959.
In 1967, they moved to Woodland, WA taking over Norm’s family farm. While working at Longview Fibre, and until his retirement in 1988, he also took care of his 60-acre farm. He raised and sold an average of 14 beef cattle yearly along with selling blueberries from his blueberry fields. Norm being the hard-working, dedicated individual that he was, also managed a personal vegetable garden that provided for his family.
Retirement didn’t slow Norm down, he continued working the farm where he and Joyce would often have family and friends over. They would host yearly gatherings, some of the favorites were blueberry picking parties or when they would make apple cider from the farm’s many apple trees. The Carlson farm was a business as well as a welcoming place to go for anyone needing a friendly conversation or a helping hand. Norm continued to successfully run the farm into his 90s. The Big Red barn that Norm’s father, Fred, built is still being utilized and is currently on the state register of Historical Places.
Norm was honest, hardworking and fun. He was one of the good guys and will be missed terribly.
Norm is survived by his son, Scott; and grandson, Cody.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty; and wife of 63 years, Joyce.
A special thanks to his hardworking personal caregiver, Dawn, and the ladies from Visiting Angels.
A celebration of Norm’s life will take place at a later date.

2020.07.05 15:00 portlane Deena Dyke (April 19, 1955 - June 20, 2020)

April 19, 1955 - June 20, 2020
Deena J. (Chadderton) Van Dyke, age 65, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side, June 20, 2020. She was born April 19, 1955 in Longview, Washington to Charles and Ettanell Chadderton. Deena was raised in Rose Valley and graduated from Kelso High School in 1973. For many years Deena lived on the banks of the Columbia River outside of Woodland. While Deena loved to travel and experience all the splendors this world has to offer, she never strayed far for long from the beauty and rich soil of her Columbia River view.
Deena loved to be near the water, watching the sunset with her family and trying to land the catch of the day; “fish on”. And, when she was not relishing in the beauty of God’s paintings, she was exercising her ever-present green thumb in her gardens. Deena had a skill for making beauty blossom all around her, as evidenced by her gorgeous gardens and beautiful daughters.
Deena is survived by her husband, Dr. Jack Van Dyke; father, Charles, longtime resident of Rose Valley; sister, Julie Puckett (Mike) of Seabeck, WA; her two daughters and their husbands, Summer and TJ Koons, living abroad in Saudi Arabia, and Sally and Craig Niebuhr of Woodland; two grandchildren, Jenevieve Niebuhr and Charles (CJ) Koons; and two children by marriage, Colin and Marissa Van Dyke.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A Gardener’s Prayer reads:
“Thank you God for the Sun and Showers;
Thank you for each lovely flower;
Thank you for each stately tree;
Through all of these, you speak to me.”
Thank you God, for your beautiful flower, Deena. Our daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Through her, you spoke to us Dear Lord. Now, Heavenly Father, welcome your beautiful flower home, to lie in green pastures and beside still waters.
A private service at her favorite shoreline will be scheduled for a future date.

2020.06.30 21:30 djfox222 This went to my state court of appeals and was disappeared without any information being released..

STATE OF WASHINGTON,)No. 4Z598709 ) Plaintiff,)DEFENDANT’S MOTION )FOR RELIEF OF JUDGMENT vs.)AND SANCTION ) ) FOX, DAVID J. ) Defendant) )
Comes now the defendant, David J. Fox, by and through his attorney, Patricia A. VanRollins, and moves this Court for RELIEF FROM JUDGMENT OR ORDER based on CrRLJ 7.8 (3) Fraud, whether heretofore denominated intrinsic or extrinsic), misrepresentation, or other misconduct of an adverse party and Sanctions based on CrRLJ 4.8 (7) (ii),; specifically, failing to comply with Discover Rule (g) (1), the Fourth, Fifth, Six and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, Article 1, Section of the Washington State Constitution, the defense brief in support of this motion, and any evidence which may be adduced at the hearing on this motion. FACTS AND DECLARATION OF COUNSEL 1. That I, Patricia VanRollins, have been appointed to represent Mr. Fox. 2. That in Cowlitz County District Court on March 2, 2015 in a jury trial, David J. Fox was found not guilty of the crime of Taking or Concealing a Pet Animal (RCW 9.08. 070). Specifically, David Fox was found not guilty of taking the German Shepherd dog, Bella, from Carla and Ricardo Bazan. 3. Mr. Fox was found guilty of Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer (RCW 9A.76.020.) It is not disputed that the state was represented throughout this case by Deputy Prosecutor Michael Rothman,(hereinafter prosecutor) and that: 4. The defense asked the State many times for the copies or a CD of early photos of Bella to enable a defense expert to help assess the dog’s early physical status; these photos were never made available to the defense prior to the trial. 5. The defense mailed 4 subpoenas to its material witness, Ms. Dawn Saranpaa. (See copies mailed on January 6, 2015, January18,2015, February 17, 2015, and February 25, 2015.) 6. The defense made at least 7 phone calls trying to reach to Ms. Saranpaa on different days and at different times including evenings and weekends. Because the defense was unable to reach Ms. Saranpaa by phone, the State was asked to set up an interview with its witness. Despite numerous requests, the State did not schedule an interview. 7. Finally, in an attempt to interview Ms. Saranpaa before trial and after leaving word, the defense went to Ms. Saranpaa’s apartment on Sunday afternoon, one day prior trial. There two roommates of Ms. Saranpaa informed the defense that Ms. Saranpaa was not a home, and would be unavailable. 8. The State was fully aware of the many attempts by the defense to reach Ms. Saranpaa (see court records of the Readiness Hearings). 9. On the Thursday and Friday prior to trial, both the State & the court were again informed that the defense needed to interview Ms. Saranpaa. 10. The State told the defense that the defense would have an opportunity to talk to Ms. Saranpaa on/ before the morning of trial. However, on the morning of trial, Ms. Saranpaa was not present. 11. In pre-trial discussions in chambers and with the prosecutor the defense requested a material witness warrant for Ms. Saranpaa. The court said let’s wait. 12. At the bench, the court restated that it would wait to see if Ms. Saranpaa would appear before issuing a material witness warrant. Meanwhile, Ms. Saranpaa called to say that she was having car trouble and would be late. 13. Ms. Saranpaa arrived at the courthouse and sat with other defense witnesses. 14. Several defense witnesses, one a retired police officer, saw Deputy Marc Johnson tell Ms. Saranpaa that she was not needed and was free to go. 15. The State admitted on the record that it had directed Deputy Johnson to send the defense witness away.
I, Patricia Ann VanRollins swear under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington the foregoing is true and correct.

ARGUMENT AND AUTHORITY “Few rights are more fundamental than that of an accused to present witnesses in his own defense, which is a right of Constitutional magnitude.” Chabers v. Mississippi, 410 U.S.284, 302, 93 S. Ct. 1038, 35 L.Ed. 2d 297 (1973). “The guaranty of compulsory process is ‘a fundamental right and one “which the courts should safeguard with meticulous care”.’ ” State v. Burri, 87 Wash.2d 175, 181, 550 P.2d 507 (1976), citing Feguer v. United States, 302 F.2d 214, 241 (8th Cir.), cert. denied, 371 U.S. 872, 83 S.Ct. 123, 9 L.Ed.2d 110 .It is the position of the defense that the abuse and neglect of the German Shepherd dog Bella began and persisted for many months under Carla and Ricardo Bazan, ie., long before the Bazans abandoned Bella to Dawn Saranpaa. For that reason, Ms. Saranpaa was a material witness who could best testify about the condition of the dog when it arrived and came under her care, and best establish the brevity of Bella’s stay with Ms. Saranpaa. The length of Bella’s abandonment is in dispute. Furthermore, the testimony of Ms. Saranpa was critical to show why Mr. Fox felt it necessary to keep Bella from Deputy Johnson, who repeatedly emphasized to Mr Fox that he would transfer the dog to the Bazan’s. The Deputy testified to this goal both under oath at trial and in his police report. Not critical to defending against the charge of Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer was establishing whether Ms. Saranpaa had physically abused the dog by hiding it in an upstairs bedroom and by neglecting basic medical treatments for it. These facts were clearly established by the testimony of six witnesses. Instead, critical to the defense of Obstruction (for which Mr. Fox was sentenced to 180 days in custody) was to establish that the dog’s suffering under Ms. Saranpaa’s charge was far too brief and insufficient to explain its near death state, i.e., its gross emaciation & motor weaknesses. While under oath, the Bazans testified they had left the dog with Ms. Saranpaa for only one month. Lori Davis, the unpaid independent expert witness with over 30 years of experience in the pet rescue business, testified at trial that the dog’s starvation and worm infestation required many months for its near death expression Thus, Ms. Saranpaa’s testimony was critical to establish that the abuse of the dog began long before it was abandoned to Ms. Saranpaa’s care. Except for additional confinements, the dog’s abuse under Ms. Saranpaa was largely a continuation of the indifference and medical neglect initiated by the Bazans. As evidence showing the early irresponsibiity of the Bazans, the trial record showed Bazan’s claimed the dog to be valued at $500. Yet, they possessed no bill of sale nor proof of ownership for it. In addition, Humane Society Officer Mike Nicholson testified that the Bazans had never licensed this $500 dog (as required by law). As evidence supporting medical neglect, the Bazans testified that they had never observed the dog to ever become sick. Moreover, they produced no vet bills showing that such an expensive dog ever had immunizing shots or deworming over its 1 and ½ years of life. In contrast, trial testimony indicated that the dog had a chronic, large “worm load” (parasitic infestation). Ms. Davis, an expert witness, testified such a “parasite load” alone indicated that the negligent medical abuse occurred over a period far longer than one month’s time. The testimony of Ms. Saranpaa was material to establish the condition of the dog when she received it, precisely how long the dog was in her care, and the duration and methods for its confinement. That the dog was abandoned by the Bazans was indicated by the Bazans never checking on the dog after initially transferring it to Ms. Saranpaa. Each party knew exactly where the other lived, and that they were only separated by 4 miles. Moreover, Ms. Saranpaa emphasized in sworn statements that she never contacted the Bazans while she got rid of the dog to avoid being evicted. In addition to testimony to precisely define the dog’s condition and length of confinement, the defense also needed Ms. Saranpaa to explain the many inconsistencies in her sworn statements with the trial testimonies of both Bazan’s. To clarify such inconsistencies, the defense would have needed to recall Ms. Saranpaa as a rebuttal witness. The defense argues that is fundamentally unfair for the court to ask the defense during the trial to describe the testimony of a witness who, through absolutely no fault of the defense, was denied an interview and had no chance to talk with the witness because Ms. Saranpaa could not be contacted by phone, by mail, or in person; “On motion and upon such terms as are just, the court may relieve a party from a final judgment order, or proceedings for the following reasons: Fraud (whether heretofore denominated intrinsic or extrinsic), misrepresentation, or other misconduct of an adverse party.” CrRLJ 7.8 (3). Moreover, the State failed to provide an opportunity to interview Ms. Saranpaa, even after many requests by the defense. In contrast, the State was fully aware of Ms. Saranpaa’s expected testimony because it had earlier interviewed Ms. Saranpaa. At the time, Ms. Saranpaa was one of the State’s material witnesses. It can be reasonably inferred that because of this knowledge –concluding her testimony would not be beneficial – the State intentionally, and purposefully sent Ms. Saranpaa away. Knowing that the defense had subpoenaed her, the State wantonly dismissed Ms. Saranpaa right after she came to court. Because of these willful violations and prosecutorial misconduct, the defense was unable to ever interview this material witness, and was prevented from having her testify in court. Such prosecutorial misconduct during and after discovery prejudiced Mr. Fox’s right to a fair trial on the charge of Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer (RCW9A.76.020). “In order to establish prosecutorial misconduct, a defendant must prove that the prosecutor’s conduct was improper and that it prejudiced his right to a fair trial” State v. Gregory, 118 Wn 2d 79, 858-59, 147 P. 3d 1201 (2006). Furthermore, “A defendant has a Sixth Amendment right to compel attendance of witnesses who could materially aid his defense. State v. Smith, 101 Wash. 2d 36, (1984). Here, the testimony of Ms. Saranpaa was material and critical for the jury to understand why Mr. Fox would not bring the German Shepherd dog Bella to Deputy Johnson who testified under oath that, upon receipt, he would immediately transfer the dog to the Bazan’s. Mr Fox was found Not Guilty by the jury of depriving [the Bazan’s of Bella] by taking, confining, secreting or converting [the pet dog]. (RCW 9.08.070(1)(a), but Guilty of Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer. Mr. Fox was sentenced to serve two days in custody with credit for time served. As a “condition of the sentence”, the court held that Mr. Fox must transfer Bella to the Bazan’s. [In response to a query by the defense, the court declined to cite any authority for the unusual “condition of sentence.”] When Mr. Fox responded that he would not give the dog to the Bazan’s, the very people who abused the dog, the court sentenced Mr. Fox to 180 days in custody. The court further stated that it would be happy to release Mr. Fox from custody when he agreed to transfer Bella to the Bazan’s. Mr. Fox’s chose jail rather than surrendering the dog to the very people who had abused it, first through irresponsibility and medical neglect, and then by abandoning the dog to a woman who exacerbated the abuse to the point that Bella’s life was hanging by a thread. CONCLUSION This is not the first time that the State’s prosecutorial misconduct has kept the defense from having defense witnesses under subpoena appear to testify. Specifically, see State v. Messick, in which a deputy sheriff under subpoena to testify for the defense chose to ignore the subpoena which the deputy acknowledged receiving. (See Motion Attached). It is on record that, just prior to the beginning of trial, the court directed the State to go to the prosecutor’s office to telephone the deputy sheriff. It is also on the record that the State reached the deputy and asked the deputy why he ignored the defense’s subpoena. It is on the record that the deputy’s excuses for ignoring the subpoena were inconsistent and changed dramatically within 18 hours. At no time during this phone call did the State order the deputy, an employee of the State, to testify before the waiting court. Lacking the deputy as a material witness but prepared to proceed to trial, the defense offered a written stipulation covering the deputy’s sworn statements. This stipulation was rejected by the State which asserted the deputy’s trial testimony would provide additional, relevant facts. At a motion hearing to suppress any additional testimony by the deputy as irrelevant under ER 402 (See Motion Attached), the defense had prepared to elicit testimony from the deputy regarding his excuses for impeachment purposes, Once again, there was no testimony to be provided by the deputy because the State did not order its employee to be available to testify. If the judicial system is to function, all discovery rules and subpoenas must be honored and not flagrantly subjected to willful violations and prosecutorial misconduct. Because the State provided no additional relevant testimony from the deputy, the charge against Mr. Messick was dismissed. In the present case, (1) the State willingly and intentionally withheld a CD with pictures that the defense needed to assess the dog’s early health; (2) the State interviewed a witness, Ms. Saranpaa; (3) the State then knowingly and intentionally kept her from being interviewed by the defense; and (4) knowing the defense had subpoenaed Ms. Saranpaa, the State blocked her from testifying by wantonly dismissing her right after she arrived at court. These acts of willful violation and prosecutorial misconduct prevented the defense from preparing and presenting material facts that were critical for the jury to understand why it was necessary for Mr. Fox acted as he did in this case. As a result Mr. Fox was sentenced to 180 days in jail. Because the prosecutorial misconduct violated Mr. Fox’s due process rights plus his Sixth Amendment right to compel attendance of a witness who could materially The court may at any time dismiss the action if the court determines that failure to comply with an applicable discovery rule or an order issued pursuant thereto is the result of a willful violation or of gross negligence and that the defendant was prejudiced by such failure. CrRLJ 4.8 (7)(ii) aid in his defense, and showed a total lack of fundamental fairness, Mr. Fox’s right to a fair trial was prejudiced and we ask the court to dismiss the charge of Obstructing.
In the alternative, we ask that the court to reinstate the original 2 days sentence with credit for time served. In addition, because the prosecutor continues to intentionally and knowingly disregard the discovery process, and because his wanton interference with defense witnesses under subpoena demonstrates a gross contempt for court rules, we further ask the court to subject the prosecutor to appropriate sanctions based on CrRLJ 4.8 (iii) and to publish its finding of prosecutorial misconduct in his employment record (maintained by the Cowlitz County).

3/13/20 update from PH SWMC:
COVID-19 cases: With increased testing, this data is still being gathered
PH is sending COVID-19 tests to Quest Labs. Currently receiving results in approximately 30 hours.
There is currently a nationwide shortage of COVID-19 test kits and limited capacity of labs to analyze results. Testing is not currently available to the general public in our communities. At this time, PeaceHealth hospitals and clinics are only testing people for COVID-19 who fall into several high-risk categories. This includes those needing to be admitted to our hospitals, and those who are at highest risk of spreading the virus to others, including healthcare and public safety workers. We hope to be able to provide more testing in the future and will continue to reevaluate as testing capabilities increase across the nation.
At SWMC as of 3/12/20:
Confirmed positive inpatients: 1
Confirmed positive treated and released: 1
Inpatients with tests pending: 74

2019.05.14 18:45 dotkitten So Chasen the pilot...

Okay so Chasen the pilot who went home last night is some one I was super interested in because in all of the promo stuff, it said he was from Longview, WA. I'm very familiar with that area so I was curious at how (if he had made it past N1 and to hometowns) how they would do a hometown date with him. Well then yesterday it kept saying he was from Ann Arbor, Michigan which is NOT close to Washington. So I was confused. Anyway, I requested to follow him on IG to ask him in his DMs. I did DM him but I haven't heard anything back. Does anyone know why they would change someone's hometown? I'll update if I ever hear back from him!

2018.05.14 19:41 Bkl773 Gi bill and barbering school issue

I went to barber school on the gi bill in Portland, Oregon. I graduated within my contracted date. My contracted date includes an extra 150 hrs for student to complete the program. I completed the program with the extended time frame. My school had an audit which the admissions and financial aid had changed my admissions date to reflect perfect attendance. My school was closed for 12 days due to bad weather and these days were not reflected on the audit. I am now required by the v.a to payback the housing stipend given to me during the extended time frame due to the audit reflecting perfect attendance. Do I have a claim for legal action due to the school changing my original date to favor their needs during the audit, even though I signed a contract that allowed for me to complete the program under a extended timeframe? I currently live in Longview, Wa.

2015.09.22 00:45 withdowncasteyes My church now claims a former pastor no longer existed?!

So, I attend Gateway Church in the Dallas, Texas area. We are a "mega-church" with over 20,000 weekly attendees. One of the head senior pastors was David Smith. He used to routinely give sermons and serve in a very public capacity. My wife and I truly enjoyed his insight, and my wife even knew her wife Linda in passing. But I noticed something very troubling in the past couple of weeks...
You see, David has not preached to the church in months. Not unusual by itself, and with such a large church you can go months in between seeing people, but I missed his sermons. So I accessed the sermon archives...and could not find any of his sermons. Confused, I searched for his bio in the staff section of the website. And I could not find him! So what had happened? Was I hallucinating?
The following is what really irks me. I asked a children's pastor (we have dozens) last weekend about David Smith and why he no longer appeared anywhere on the church website. And this pastor tried to convince me that "nobody named David Smith has ever been a pastor at Gateway Church". Frankly, I was flabbergasted. And now I am suspicious. Why would they deny he worked at Gateway? He was one of their Executive Senior pastors, only below Robert Morris in authority. What happened? Why had nothing been announced? Has he stepped down? Did he pass away?
I am very confused and concerned and unsure as to what I should do. I know David Smith existed, of that I am sure. Just Google "David Smith Gateway Church" and you will find old videos of him on third-party sites. For example, I found a Vimeo video of him from September 2014, with the following bio:
"David and Linda Smith have been married for over 30 years. They have five children: Candace (married to Ethan), Matthew, Delores Sidler (married to Scott), Rachel Turner (married to Nathan) and Andrew (married to Juline), and three grandsons, David, Ethan and Charley.
David has an unchurched background and is from a broken family. He was never really taught about the Christian life or about the incredible love God bestowed when He sent His only Son to sacrifice His life. When he was in high school, he was a musician in a rock band and lived on the wild side. A few of his closest friends shared with him how he could find happiness and fulfillment in knowing God through Jesus.
Because he was desperately trying to find the “meaning of life,” they invited David to go with them to a summer camp in Oklahoma called Falls Creek. It was there that for the first time in his life David heard the true message of Christ. “When the opportunity came to pray and receive Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord, I knew that is what I needed,” said David. “The decision to become a follower of Jesus was the greatest decision I have ever made! That was in August 1967.”
David now serves as the Executive Senior Pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas."
So, what happened? Why no announcement if something has happened to David? Is the church hiding something? I am extremely confused and concerned.
EDIT: I also found a comment by someone on a recent blog by Warren Throckmorton that claims David Smith has been involved in some sort of scandal?? "It wasn't really bait because I think it's better if the media breaks this story instead of a commenter, but Josh's unmerited mega-promotion did deserve a mention. Gateway Church has the most thorough and comprehensive cover-up machine of any modern church, so they have been able to keep this on the DL for a few weeks. However, the position of the person involved is so high and so powerful that even Gateway cannot conceal that large of a void indefinitely. The man involved was responsible for running about one third of Gateway's massive empire for more than a decade. This man's fall was so complete that GW removed every trace of his existence. Where his sermons had been, in the chronological sermon listing, GW has removed those weeks like they were never part of the Julian Calendar. His podcasts, YouTubes and all other web artifacts have been scrubbed clean and this was a highly visible Senior Pastor who was on screen regularly. What is visible right now to the public is a void, not a story. Now that "God has called Robert to the national and international stage" he apparently can't afford to stick by his old buddies during a fall. Robert Morris was willing to help out Mark Driscoll, a man he had only met ONCE in person prior to Robert defending him in public in October 2014, but he was willing to dump one of his best friends like toxic waste when he had a fall that might reflect poorly on Global Robert. If the media doesn't cover this in a week or two I will post the story as an addendum to this comment. One thing is for certain, it won't be the mega-church lap dog, The Dallas Morning News covering this."
EDIT2: I forgot to mention that David Smith was one of three Executive Senior Pastors, only reporting to Robert Morris and Lead Executive Senior Pastor Tom Lane. Robert Morris' son was just promoted to Executive Senior Pastor within the last two months, but no mention was made that he was replacing anyone, so we all assumed they were adding a fourth position. Now I no longer know what to think. I am going to just log off for the night and pray with my wife. We would appreciate any thoughts and prayers our way. This is all extremely confusing right now.
EDIT3: I found the comments of GWInsida from Warren Throckmorton's blog, and my wife and I have been reading them for hours. This is chilling. I feel lied to. "During the construction of the now over $100 million 114 facility, Robert had an "incident" in his life that could have easily disqualified him from ministry. It was/is very serious and involved life and death. I won't say more for fear of GW shutting WT's blog down. But it happened and a fair number of people know what happened and I was privy to first hand evidence of this, so it is not gossip or conjecture. I believe that when George found out about the incident he tried to approach Morris and get him to receive help and counseling and to take some time off for restoration - almost identical to what people wanted at MH for Mark Driscoll. What happened next was awful. To avoid any accusation of "gossip" I will just let you listen to the tapes of Robert Morris describe the "Jezebel" in his life and how he used three Apostolic elders, Jimmy Evans, Jack Hayford and James Robison to crush this man."
"On 9-13-14 Robert admitted another new item. He had been professionally touring as a paid youth preacher opening for large revivals since he was 16 years old (while he was dating and later engaged to Debbie) and we knew that he had had sex with some of the girls he preached to but he now admitted something new: Robert states that he “learned to lie and manipulate”…”I looked for the girls that would be most susceptible. And I learned how to spot this in girls…the very thing, ladies, that the world tells you to give a man before marriage so that you can keep him is the very thing that will cause you to lose him. Uh, I looked for girls that did not have a good relationship with their father. I learned to spot that. I looked for girls that were insecure. And uh, I don’t know, now I look back on this I can tell I did it. It wasn’t like a plan that I had but, but I could, I could spot this. Uh girls, were made to be held by men. And if they are not held, if that need is not met in a healthy way by their father they will meet it in an unhealthy way." That seemed to be a new low in my book. This man deliberately zeroed in on the most vulnerable flock members who likely went to those revivals in search of comfort for the abandonment they suffered from their earthly fathers. Robert admitted to using their pain and suffering in order to get them to have sex with him, knowing he'd be in another city the next night. These were at high school youth rallies and school assemblies. Robert has even admitted to having sex inside his own church when he was supposed to be in Sunday school. Apparently he was like the Bill Clinton of Longview, TX."
"I get what you are saying, but by Robert's own admission he has not been honest with his flock about the timing of his lust/carnality/adultery and the cure thereof which spans from the late 70's through the early 90's. The fact that by Robert's own admission that many girls were involved and the fact that this "sin" spanned three decades I believes merits the term serial adulterer. I hope you see it that way too. I try to never post stuff on here that I cannot back up with independent proof. I have declined on sharing some of the most damaging information I know despite it being true, simply because it has not been published elsewhere first."
"The data points that I have been privy to, make it very clear that the people in the very inner circle know exactly that Gateway is a stage act, a huge game, and that they are deceiving people for enormous amounts of money. Each leader has come up with their own combination of self-rationalizations, self-justifications, or self-deception to quiet their consciences just enough to stay in power and keep the big cash rolling in. Farther down the totem pole, the pay is still way above market, so many mid-level pastors either fully drink the Kool-Aid, or even if they have some doubts, just go along with it. You must also understand that many pastors have wives and children on the payroll or their entire social group is Gateway people, so stepping away would be a huge, irreplaceable financial setback and would leave a huge social void."
